Butch Davis

Butch Davis was named head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2001 subsequent to Chris Palmer's release. Before coming to the Browns, he had 6 years of NFL experience as an assistant with the Dallas Cowboys and 16 combined years at the college level, including 6 as the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes. Miami finished 2nd in the AP Polls in 2000, going 11-1 and demolishing in-state rival Florida by the score of 37-20 in the Sugar Bowl.
