Browns History - Helmet History

The Evolution of the Cranium Cap
This was an interesting piece of information that I found concerning Browns helmets. The boys have worn 6 different variations of the helmet in their 51 years. Most changes have been subtle, such as a change in the face mask or addition of a stripe down the center. The numbers on the helmets denote that during those years, players actually wore their jersey number on their helmet, much like the University of Alabama does today. I recieved all of this info from a webpage done by Rob. Goto my credits page to visit his site. Helmet lineage from all 31 NFL teams are available!!
